KUALA LUMPUR : KUB Malaysia Bhd has appointed its acting chief executive officer Datuk Wan Mohd Nor Wan Ahmad as group managing director with immediate effect.

"Wan Mohd Nor is an inclusive leader and we have no doubt that under his leadership, KUB will continue to thrive and further strengthen its business of operations," KUB chairman Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Samad said in a statement.

Wan Mohd Nor holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from University of Malaya Malaysia, Master in Business Administration from University of South Florida, and a Master in Port Management and Harbour Administration from University of Antwerp, Belgium.

Prior to the appointment, he was chief executive officer of Summit Petroleum, a wholly owned subsidiary of KUB since September 2001.

KUB Malaysia also announced the new appointment of Datuk Ruslan Ali Omar, Datuk Mohd Hafarizam Harun and Datuk Badly Shah Ariff Shah to its board of directors. - NST
