To date A&W (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (A&W) has 25 restaurants all over Malaysia and has plans for expansion. A&W has become a household name among Malaysians with its own signature soft drink and its menu offers a wide variety of items to suit everyone in the family, including the refreshing A&W Root Beer ‘Float’, the ever popular Coney Dog, Waffle, Curly Fries, Onion Ring and Mozza Burger those of which are unique products of A&W.

The first A&W restaurant was located in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur and also the first fast food chain in Malaysia, as stated in the Malaysian Book of Records in 1963. The first Drive-in concept in Malaysia is located in No 9, Lorong Sultan, 59100, Petaling Jaya, Selangor; was opened in 1967.

A&W Restaurants (Thailand) Co. Ltd, the franchisee of the A&W chain in Thailand and a subsidiary under KUB Berhad, has a total of 31 outlets throughout Thailand. The outlets in Thailand are a mixture of full store outlets as well as small and medium-sized stores located within service stations.

The A&W in Thailand also offers a wide range of menu consisting of the Root Beer Float, Coney Dog, Waffle, Curly Fries, Onion Ring and Mozza Burger which are popular items for the fast food chain.

KUB Agrotech Sdn Bhd (KUB Agrotech) was initially incorporated on 5 May 1979 under the name Ladang KUB-KEB Sdn Bhd. On 7 September 1994, the name was changed to KUB Agrotech Sdn Bhd. The company’s core business is in plantation management and development of oil palm plantations.

KUB Agrotech owns and manages two oil palm plantations in Johor with a combined total area of 2,660 hectares and a joint venture effort with KUB Sepadu Sdn Bhd resulted in the acquisition of 4,640 hectares of oil palm plantation in Mukah, Sarawak. To date, 2,500 hectares of the agricultural estate in Mukah has been fully planted, from which 500 hectares is currently producing approximately 10,000 metric tones of FBB annually.

KUB Sepadu is primarily engaged in the cultivation of oil palm and management of oil palm plantations. KUB Sepadu is the registered owner of Sungai Buloh Plantation and Sungai Nape Plantation and owns approximately 5,243 hectares of oil palm plantations in Sarawak.
